About the event
The Poetry Potluck truly is a living activation and a "Gathering for the Art of Community". The poetry is what brings us all together but it's the connections, the random conversations, and the ever-growing community that keeps people coming back and bring those closest along with them.
The Poetry Potluck, is a grass-roots, quarterly community gathering and Art Resource Hub, which seeks to build stronger communities by creating safe spaces for in-person social engagement, making all spaces learning spaces, increasing access to the arts for underserved populations, and providing opportunities for artists to share and display their work. We call it "A gathering for the art of community" and everyone is a CUZZIN at the gathering.
Our gathering is meant to mimic the lore of the great "Black Family Reunion". It's meant to be both a revival and a backyard BBQ. The CUZZINs come from all over and the day…
